Hi all,

Through my own research and the help of the Holy Spirit (I believe) I have become convinced of my need to covert to the Catholic faith.I contacted the diocese and they referred me to the local priest. I tried contacting him but he doesn’t respond to my emails. I live in a remote area of Canada and the next parish is hundreds of miles away. Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks

Do you know where this priest lives? Or his number perhaps to his secretary etc? Attend mass and try and catch him one time… They will let you get baptized etc and go to RCIA to learn about the faith etc… You have a very exciting journey ahead! Best choice I ever made I hope you follow 🙂 message me if you have any questions … Peace

This is a tremendously busy week in the Church and next week may well be a week of rest and recovery. I know it’s disappointing not to get an immediate answer, but Holy Week is probably why.

Call your parish again on the 28th or later and make an appointment to meet with the priest. You should have all your questions answered then about what/when/where/etc.

Welcome home!

Welcome Home! Your next step would be to contact your local Catholic parish, speak with a priest and then sign up for the RCIA program, which should begin again this fall. Please don’t feel slighted if you do not hear from the priest this week (or maybe even next) this is an extremely busy and stressful time for him and more so if he is the only one there. Try again if you don’t hear from him by the end of the month. If you can manage it, try to attend the Easter Vigil service at the church this Saturday night. It is the time for all who have been in the RCIA program for the past year to be received into the Church. It will be the second most awesome night ever! The most awesome will be next year, when it will be your turn. 😉

Thanks everybody for your help. I met with the priest today.

That’s great! Best of luck on your journey (I was in RCIA this year and was baptized at Easter).

That’s awesome! Congrats! I still have the same joy when I first entered a few years ago.
