@ATraveller

Could you move this to vocations. Maybe tweet the title?

I need go to monks and one of them
And I need contact them

Someone will move this to Vocations for you and tweak the title a little. There are many orders of monks. Have you spoken with your Catholic Priest yet

Oh and what country are you in

Hello Christian,

You will need to speak with your local priest. There are many types (rites) of Catholics in the world, especially in Iraq. Your priest will be able to help you find a monastery (Church that monks live and work at) which worships in the way you worship.

There is a Chaldean Catholic Diocese in Erbril. If your priest cannot help, they may be able to.

God bless and Happy Easter,

There is a three year period after becoming Catholic before you can start the process of becoming a monk. There is a very good reason for this and new Catholics as well as '“old” Catholics need to stand solidly with both feet on the ground before entering into religious life.

Christian, are you Catholic or Orthodox? And of which rite? I know there are still a number of Syriac Orthodox monasteries in northern Iraq (such as Mar Mattai monastery, one of the oldest in Christendom), but I am unsure about Catholic monasteries. I’d recommend taking Brother Ben’s suggestion and speaking to a priest or to a local diocese.

Ok my friend is Catholic and told me Catholic is truly and I need contact to monastery my life take to Jesus Christ and I don’t know orthodox but only I need be monk no matter

I recently watched a movie / biography - " Into Great Silence "
They were asked if they could film them their order - Carthusians -
They had to wait 16 years to film - etc - in the Alps -
Tough and quiet life - one of total austerity -
winter scenes - looked real tough - yet beautiful -

Everyone discerning a religious vocation should watch this movie. Then they should wait a week and watch it again.

It answers many questions without ever having to ask them. At least it did for me.
