I’m in europe, the little chapel St Rita of Cassia in my town is deserving by a KCSP institute priest.
I would like to know how to deal with him. I have lot of respect for his priesthood, but his boys altar’s servants are so tricky. yaerning, laughing, blinking eyes, checking candles in consecratory moment, I have hit rock bottom when several years ago they have start to walk on the altar (neo classical style), to shut down the candles after the Mass ( they don’t like to use right instrument for that !). it’s occasion to joke, laugh loudly, jump up to down from the altar, some fighting too between them. they move like ignorant peoples, they don’t have any comprehension about real presence of our Lord in the most blessed sacrement. they look at the holy alter like a piece of furniture.

the priest is young, lot of priests of KCSP institute seems to be youngest. This priest is difficult to meet. He is always with agressive or defensive attitude.look at you hardly before to talk as a Lord with his servant. I’m probably an alien ? Each sunday
I haven’t any possibilities to go to another town for a good Mass. What is the way to resorb this kind of mumbo-jumbo lacking of religious learning skills ?
In my archidiocese, few important peoples are friends of traditional catholics.
I would like a changing attitude from scratch. teen’s and young adults have theses sort of behaviours promptly, now.

I’m worry about this priest I don’t know what’s what. He haven’t good feeling with people who not come from his native environment. What is the respectfull way to have a change for the better ?

write to Rome ? some others parishioners have had several problems with his priest and the formers, I don’t want to destroy the good will of this priest, but it is one of the worst liturgical service of my life.

In my town, muslims quaters are growing. We need a strong superrnatural life, with large teachings and preachings, We need a sinless and beautiful liturgy.

PS. this kind of disrespect to the Lord presence need prayers. what sort of prayers ?
thanks.

It is The King Christ Sovereign Priest Institute. (some priests of this sacerdotal institute are very good, It’s a local problem not a war against all of them.)

FrancKnight,

I just went to their English website and they seem like they would be appalled with what you describe. You can’t start by writing to Rome. Start with priest of the parish. If he approves of what you describe, he would seem to be out of step with his priestly brothers. You might find that he is in agreement with you about what needs to be done, but not necessarily how or when. If he just says its okay to act like rowdy teenagers in front of the Tabernacle then by all means write his superiors. It appears on the English website that you can send e-mails. But it seems to me like you have to find out the certain mind of the pastor before you do anything else.

The Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. What a wonderful institute. Just to let you know, the abbreviations are ICRSS 🙂 Not, KCSPI. Sorry, I am scrupulous :o

Now, in dealing with the behaviour, you should definately talk to the Priest first, have him talk to them. As long as the Priest agrees with you. The Priest may come across as the agressive, defensive type, that might not be true. St. Conrad often came across as ignorant and crooked because he didn’t talk much, even though he most definately wasn’t :). Though, unless you’ve talked to the Priest.

God Bless! :signofcross::byzsoc:

I think it best to talk to the priest privately first. It’s always good to give people that you have problems with the courtesy of hearing you out first. After that if you do not have any satisfaction with the situation you can take the next step with the next person higher up. You risk more hurt feelings when you go around the person you have the problem with and don’t give them a chance to be heard. Until you discuss it with the priest I don’t think you know if you have a problem or not. He may agree with you.
