How to discern deceptive apparitions?

Just saying that fortune tellers and occult people stress the need to ‘go blank’ prior to the occult being used.

See the website ‘Women of Grace’ (who are EWTN guest speakers) and whom are a catholic authority on the dangers of new age.

Unless you are a victim soul like Padre Pio, whom God permitted to be beaten by evil spirits at night.

Then you are not going to encounter most of the extraordinary kinds of satan’s work, beyond being tempted
 
It is not an ordinary thing for someone to be accosted by visions of spirits. I am not meaning to suggest this means you have to be crazy, but I would both see a therapist, and a priest if this were my situation.
 
Matthew 7:16 “By their fruits you will know them…”

You’ll drive yourself nuts trying to work out the future effects of a priest’s choice of words in his homily though, so before you take that thought any farther always remember Matthew 16:18 “…and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.”
