How to discuss Catholicism with a pompous Catholic?

He seems to be fiery and zealous of his faith, unfortunately it can be hard to keep this zeal in check sometimes. Hopefully he learns to do so like we all need to do at times. I feel this fiery return to the likes of the Latin mass and tradition especially among young people is most likely in response to the cultural shift in the church since the 2nd half of the 20th century which caused much spiritual damage. The Novus Ordos unfortunately takes a bit of the flak from this as this also resulted from the sea of change
