How to dispose of Damaged Bible?

My wife’s Bible was torn-up badly by a dog when visiting family after the passing of her mother. I’ve bought her two wonderful Bibles as replacement, but…what/how can I respectfully dispose of the terribly damaged Bible?
 
Pious custom would be to burn the Bible and bury its ashes.
