How do I prove Islam is a false religion?
You can’t, though theoretically, Christianity and Islam are incompatible at several turns. If you could “prove” that Jesus was the Son of God, you would effectively have disproved Islam, since one tenent of Islam is that anyone who believes Jesus was the Son of God is going to hell.

Quote the Quran.
It’s actually not very hard at all. There is 0 proof that Mohammad ever lived, and even if he did, he would have been a pedophile, a murderer, and the angle Gabriel (jizzebel) just happen to change the rules to fit Mohammad’s life when most convenient.

P.S. Jerusalem is never mentioned the Quran so the idea that it is a focal point of the “religion” is wrong. That was enforced by the Imams after 1947 to counter the jewish state.

also, Islam claims that they are born without original sin which is the very reason people grow old and die as Adam was warned this would happen if they ate of the tree of knowledge or good and evil. So they have that wrong for a start. John’s Revelation was the last vision, and prophesy given by the Lord therefore the claim that their so-called prophet Mohammad is false as Scripture warns us that we are not to believe everything that appears to be a miracle is of the Lord as Satan also has the power to create visions etc and the entire Muslim religion was founded on nothing more than the claim of one man that he “had a vision” but than this claim has also been made by various people and entire religions have been built on these claims.

This one you can use.

We cannot disprove a religion. It is a way in which a community worships God.

We can, however, point out why a religion falls short of the fullness of the divine revelation. There are significant aspects in the doctrines of all religions (except, of course, in the teachings of Christ) that extremists can use to do evil instead of good. By showing how that could never be God’s will, we can show our brothers from other religions (and even from other Christian communities who sometimes are really far away from sacred tradition) how to be even better people and how to give God the worship he deserves.

I think the only reason anyone would convert to Christianity is if they understood and acknowledged that Christ is truly God, and that His teachings are more than prophetic or wise, because He is the Incarnate Word. 🤷

You may be interested to google ‘The Heart’s Witness Against Muhammad’, to access a series of articles regarding various aspects of Muhammad’s life, written from a Catholic’s point of view. These articles demonstrate the incompatibility of much of Muhammad’s behavior with the natural law written on the human heart (and in the human reason).

If you are attempting to disprove Islam to yourself, there are a number of statements by the fathers of the church to consider. There is also contemporary publications that address the issue quite well.
There is a little book titled “But don’t all religions lead to God?” by Michael Green, a British theologian. He does a nice job to draw distinctions between Christianity and other religions. A large part of this slim volume deals with Islam.

If on the other hand, you are debating religion and Islam with Muslims, the task is more difficult. The main reason is that they deeply believe in Islam and the prophet. Their entire life is built around the mosque. To challange their religion is to challenge their civilization, system of values, legal system and life style. This is nearly impossible.
Since Islam has never had serious challengers (they would be beheaded for blesphamy), the Muslims don’t speculate about their faith. They accept it as is.

One thing I learned from Fulton Sheen is that what separated Christianity from all other religions was that our founder was prophesied (Jesus Christ :p), thus giving us a reason to examine Christianity more closely, while other religions only have the founder’s say-so, and no other credible reason to believe them.

(here’s an explanation that I gave on a different thread):

The fundamental difference between Islam and christianity is its disbelief in the Trinity. I would focus on this key difference when evangelizing muslims. It also doesn’t help that very few Catholics can actually explain the Trinity… Most muslims think our belief in the Trinity is absurd (ie. we believe in 3 gods, etc…) and if you can not only deconstruct this misconception but actually propose a very convincing and logical argument in favor of the trinity, I think you can definitely turn some heads.

Here’s how I would explain the trinity (drawing heavily from Michael Voris’ and Archbishop Fulton Sheen’s explanations):

First, we’re made in the image and likenss of God, so explaining the Trinity must start by illustrating that we, ourselves, are actually limited and imperfect versions of the Trinity.

For example, we each have a mind that contains both an intellect as well as thoughts. Our thoughts are created by our intellect and, together, they make up who we are. While our thoughts and our intellects are a part of one complete mind, they are separate entities in and of themselves… For example, if our thoughts and our intellects were the same thing then how could our intellect reflect on the thoughts that it creates? (ie. even an eyeball needs to have a mirror to see it’s own reflection) In short, there must exist some separation between our thoughts and our intellect even though the two are a part of one whole mind (you can see where I am going with this).

The next step is to show the fact-simile between our own minds and the Trinity.

There are two key differences that exist between our minds and the Holy Trinity. First, the Trinity is infinite, and secondly, the Trinity is perfect. Our thoughts have limits, both in terms of how much content they can contain as well as the “correctness” of the content contained within the thought. We are constantly learning new things as well as forgetting (or losing access to) past experiences. As a result, our intellect needs to reflect on thousands and thousands of different thoughts over the course of a day.

This is not the case with God. In fact, God’s intellect is so perfect that the thoughts that He creates are infinite both in their content and their correctness. In fact, these thoughts are so perfect that you would only actually ever need to have one of these thoughts (you would never need a second thought from such an Intellect, since that would presuppose that there was something lacking or something incorrect about the first Thought). This singular thought would contain every moral truth, every physical and mathematical truth, the parameters for the creation of the universe, our own DNA, everything that ever has been, is now, or ever will be would be contained in this thought. We christians call this infinitely truthful thought “the Son” and the intellect that created this thought, “the Father”.

This is what Jesus meant when He said that He was the word made flesh (He was this infinitely truthful thought, made into the form of a man). This is also what Jesus meant when He said that the Father does nothing except through the Son. If you want to raise your left arm, what does your intellect do? Well, it first creates a thought that contains the necessary instructions for movement. It’s the same for God, any action that the Father decides to bring about on the earth comes through the context of His infinitely truthful thought (that is, the Son).

So if God only ever had one thought, then what does He spend the rest of His time doing?

Well, put simply, the Father is in a constant state of reflection on this singular perfect thought (the Son). Think about how you feel after you solve a really difficult math problem… you see beauty in the truth that you have written down on paper. You would defend this truth if somebody tried to question it. In every sense of the word, you love this Truth (that is, you give yourself fully to it). In the case of God, however, the Truth that the Father has created in the form of the Son is so vastly superior to any truth that we could come up with that He Loves this thought infinitely more then we could possibly imagine. In short, the Father spends the rest of eternity infinitely loving the Son and pondering the beauty of the truth contained within the Son. This love that exists between the Father and the Son is what we call the Holy Spirit.

After explaining the Trinity, a good question for a muslim would be: If you deny that God exists as a Trinity, then exactly which part of the Trinity are you denying?

If you deny the Son, then you are saying that God exists purely as an intellect which is incapable of infinite and perfect thought. If God is incapable of perfect and infinite thought, then that means that God is capable of chaning His mind about things… this begs the question: if God can change His mind about things, then how do you know what God is thinking right now? How do you know that the Koran is correct at all, and that God hasn’t changed His mind completely since it was written??? Furthermore, in order for an intellect to change it’s mind about anything, it must either learn something new or forget something… how could God possibly do either of these things?

Similarly, if you deny the Father, then you are suggesting that God exists only as a thought. This is a problem, in and of itself, because if God is just a thought then something else must have created that thought (a thought is, by definition, created by an intellect).

I would try sharing these explanations and questions with your Muslim friends. At the very least, it might clear up any misconceptions they might have about Catholicism and get them seriously questioning some key issues between our two faiths.

Why do Muslims say Jesus talks about Muhammad in John 14:15-17
The reason for this is very obvious in the Muslims perspective. When they come across our Holy Bible they can either read and embrace it, make allegations against it, or weave their “prophet” Muhammad into it and they are supposed to acknowledge it as the true word of God according to their own religion.
Those who follow the Apostle, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (Scriptures), in the Law and the Gospel. Surah 7.157
The Quranic verse above claims that Muhammad is mentioned in both the Torah and the Gospel which they truly believe but due to the fact that the name Muhammad isn’t mentioned once in the Bible they are forced to lie to themselves and to others in that they either mis-word the Bible or accuse, we Christians, of mis-wording it, by removing any prophecies of Islam or Muhammad, and hence, corrupting the Word of God. The reason (Who, Why, What, Where, When, How)? They cannot give.

In this case, one of the greatest claims to Muhammad’s prophecies in the Bible:
15 If you love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will ask the Father, and he shall give you another Paraclete, that he may abide with you for ever.
17 The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, nor knoweth him: but you shall know him; because he shall abide with you, and shall be in you. John 14:15-17
The word “Paraclete” usually translated as the Comforter or Counseller here is known to us as the person of the Holy Spirit whom descended onto the apostles during the Pentecost, however, it is known as Muhammad to many Muslims.
The original Greek of this word, as in many hundreds of Greek fragments of this text, is paracletos however Muslims somehow accuse Christians of corrupting this text as it “originally” said periklutos, a similar Greek word which means “one who is praised”, which never appears once in the Greek writings of the Holy Bible. The Arabic word for this is Ahmad which another name given to Muhammad even though he was never referred to as Ahmad.

Muslims who continue to wishfully believe that the Word of God was corrupted by Christianity will always cling to these specific allegations. The way we should partake in disproving this major claim is to truly live the Scripture not to just test it and have childish arguments of wording with others. Then people, such as Muslims, will truly see that our way is not corrupt (evil) however the complete opposite. This is to show that Jesus Christ did send the Holy Spirit to abide in us as he promised and that through it we have the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
