For people you have a personal relationship with, simply let them know that you care(they should already know this), that you want to see them in heaven and usually they will listen out of politeness.
It’s your lifestyle that changes hearts. People need to see the joy to be convinced, as it may be something they’re longing for too. As Peter says too, be prepared to give an answer. So, lifestyle and confidence are probably the two biggies. I’ll squeeze in a third: sharing a positive relationship to those with other faiths or lack of faith.
I live in the Bible Belt. Most of my evangelizing is with people who have no idea of how I live my life. They simply know I’m Catholic. So I have to be ready to evangelize using words.
