The most common catholic priest homily is a call to evangelize but most of them don’t give us tips or directions to do so. What you recommend, besides going door-to-door?

How to evangelize to what?

WE evangelize by doing Gods will, and subcoming yourself to that.
Prayer and sacrific, denial of your wants to find Gods wants, to be disciplined to be open to what that is, and discipline to be honest wtih yourself also…

Be able to explain your faith to others.
Exactly. And if and when you don’t know the answer to their questions, tell them you’ll find out and get back to them. Also read up on their religion so you’ll know where they’re coming from.

Best not to force yourself on someone. The Holy Spirit will guide them to you. Be a good, kind person so they’ll be inclinded to come to you with their questions.

St. Francis is credited with saying “Preach always and if necessary use words.”
The best way to evangelize is to simply live your faith. Grow in your faith by learning as much as possible about your Faith so that you can answer the inevitable questions that people will ask able your faith.
Cursillo describes evangelization as make a friend, be a friend, bring a friend to Christ." Don’t force your Faith. After you know a person well enough and he/she has expressed an interest in your Faith, then invite them to join you at Mass.

Here in the Bible Belt, most Catholics who leave the church can’t explain the faith to others, and of course can’t explain it to themselves either. Being able to do so increases the likelihood of staying Catholic, and also increases the ability to effectively evangelize others.

Apostles Prayer. Jesus to Mamma Carmella on 22 April, 1969, Milan.

Merciful Jesus, we trust in Thee.

Come to the aid of our weakness and our incapacity.

Grant that we may be able to make Thee known and loved by all men and that, confident in the immensity of Thy love, we may be able to combat the evil which is in us and in all the world for Thy glory and our salvation. Amen.

Consecration:

'O Jesus, Good Jesus, Whose Infinite Love has created and ransomed the world and wishes to save it, receive me in the number of those who wish to work for the triumph of Your Reign of Love on earth.

To this end, receive the complete offering of myself by which I place myself in Your service.

I will spread the image of Your Divine Face beseeching You to reanimate in all souls the features of Your Divine Countenance.

O Jesus, perform miracles of conversions, and call the Apostles of the new era, the new Apostles, to this great task.

Pour out on the whole world a torrent of Your Merciful Love which, engulfing and destroying evil, will renew the Earth, and may hearts be filled with charity, restore in the light of the Sun, the practice of the Gospel.

Amen.

I guess that depends on who God sends to us and their need.

Mother Teresa was asked by a group of people something that they could do and take back home with them. Mother Teresa said, “smile”. The she elaborated a little.

Probably true. Anyone likes that and is attracted to it. And besides it is good pick up to others.

She was always good about taking whatever a person believed and try to help them where they were at. By bringing them to a little more goodness, we bring them to the source of goodness. This lightens their daily cross. And they might even think, they seem happy, I wonder what they believe in.

Just a thought.
