Best to allow him to deal with it in his own way.
As you’re female he may have felt awkward.
Priests need to be careful, and even very cautious, because they never can be certain if an unrelated female is forming an attachment. It doesn’t mean he think’s that’s true, it’s just that some priests are particularly careful in guarding themselves.
Please don’t take it personally if this is the case.
