How to pray the rosary- mysteries

Hello, I want to begin praying the rosary everyday but I am so confused by the mysteries aspect of things. I’ve read so many articles online of how to pray the rosary but when it gets to the part about mysteries, I have no idea what to do.

Am I supposed to simply say “the first mystery” or is it it’s own prayer?
I’ve heard people online say some prayers about saving us from the fires of Hell which I’ve never heard in real life before- is this something you say during one of the mystery parts?
I’ve seen things saying there are different sets of mysteries depending on the days of the week, what does this even mean? Do I have to look up what these are and then what does that mean? Does it mean I have to have a new set of five prayers for the rosary each day?
I am sooooooo confused, please if someone knows the answer be thorough because I have really tried to know through looking things up but it’s got me nowhere. Thanks so much to anyone who answers! I am so confused so even if you need to write a script to get your point across I would be soooo thankful.

Typically people might say the name of the mystery (e.g. “The Firat Joyful Mystery: The Annunciation”) before beginning the decade devoted to that mystery. They pause and think about the mystery for a couple minutes, then they pray the decade, still keeping the mystery in the back of their mind.

You announce the name of the mystery before our father. Then while saying the 10 Hail Mary’s we are simply thinking and meditating on them. You can see in which direction you are being led by it or just replay the scene in your mind.
