How to put someone on ignore?

In the old system there was an option to permanently remove someone from the visible members. Is this still an option?

Yes, there is an ignore option. I think it is under preferences, then users, on your own profile.

Thank you… I tried, but there is a ‘select a time frame’ provision, and that does not seem to work.

Yes, I tried to select a time, and it did not work. I would prefer “forever”…

I used the @user_ feature, and then selected the name I wanted to get rid of… Phew!

For whatever reason, I can put someone on ignore using my MacBook, but it fails on my iPhone. I guess it’s very device-specific.

Once I tried to “entice” the system to fill up the name by typing the first few letters of the name, with the @ in front of it, and chose the proper one from the drop-down list, it worked! And I could choose the “forever” option, too! It was the very first time I attempted to ignore someone, but the person was so obnoxious and such a prig, that I wanted to get rid of him.
