The only way to reach every person is to go door-to-door, house by house and proclaim the gospel to every person. The Legion of Mary is doing just that.
Our primary goal in this effort is to bring glory to God through our own sanctification. We go door-to-door, following the example of Mary who said to the servants at the wedding of Cana “Do whatever he [Jesus] tells you.” It is Jesus who said in Mark 16:15 “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature”
We invite nonpracticing Catholics to practice. To come back home, to receive a good confession, and return to the Lord’s Table, receiving His body, His blood, His soul, and His divinity in the Eucharist every Sunday and holy day of obligation – or even every day.
We invite unbaptized children, teenagers, adults, and senior citizens to receive Baptism, forgiving all their sins (original sin and actual sins), clothing them with Christ, and making them Christian and a brother or sister of Jesus Christ. We also invite them to Confirmation, to complete their baptism, more fully joining them to Christ, helping them to grow in faith, wisdom, and understanding.
We invite those who have grown up as protesters of the Church to be received into the Church; to accept the bride of Christ as their Mother; and to live in the community that is His body. We welcome them to worship God, to receive Him, and to join together with him in one, for after their conversion they will be blessed and favored to receive the very body and blood, soul, and divinity, of He who rules the world and who died so that their sins may be forgiven.
It is our desire to invite all practicing Catholics to join us in this mission. Please come to one of our meetings. We are always in need of those who will join our ranks, and under the standard of Mary, seek to bring Christ to those living in the parish and in the world.
It is our desire that all practicing Catholics unable or unwilling to join us as active member of the Legion of Mary, join us as praying members. The requirements of such membership are simply to pray the Rosary daily, and say a few more prayers.
