How to stay Catholic in public schools?

Hello,

What are the most important things that a Catholic student should keep in mind if they attend a public high school/college? Also, should they see if the Catholic Church approves of it first?

Catholics are called to be a light to the world and the salt of the earth so there is nothing wrong with being a Catholic in a public school. Such Catholics simply need to be sure to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days, nourish their spiritual life, and be sure they receive an appropriate Catholic education.
