How was 'erets translated in LXX?

Was the LXX’s translation of 'erets used in the New Testatment and where?

THANKS!!!

The people of this forum have been asbolutely great!!!

Thanks!!!

The word means ‘land’. Is that what your question is about?

Eretz is the Hebrew word for land, soil, earth, etc, the LXX translates it as γῆν (the same as geo in geography). The New Testament likewise uses γῆν in cases where in Hebrew eretz would be used.

For instance “til heaven and earth (γῆ) pass” (Matthew 5:18)

These are just what I wanted, thanks!!!

Matthew 5: 18 is really helpful

THANKS!!!
