How would you convert to Catholicism alone?

I’ve become very interested in becoming catholic for a while now. I was not brought up catholic, neither was anyone in my immediate family. I was brought up southern baptist which is very very very far from Catholicism. I’m only a teenager but I’m almost positive I want to join the Church. I have no idea what I would do to convert though. My family does not want to convert but don’t mind if I do. What should I do? How do I know for sure that I want to convert?
