How would you feel?

Okay, so one of our religious brothers was talking to us about how at our 10th Anniversary Festival Mass that was outdoors (this was like 5 years ago) during communion, people who were not Catholic supposedly were taking the Body and Blood of Christ and then, people supposedly didn’t like the taste of the Eucharist, and just threw it on the cement of the parking lot. Then, later people were dancing, and when they were cleaning up that night they found a lot of Eucharist scattered about where the Mass was celebrated. How disrespectful for someone to put the Body of Christ in their mouth, and then just throw it on the cement ground because they didn’t like the taste, and then people would dance on it later. How would you feel if you saw someone doing this?

I hope they learned their lesson about having a “festival Mass” out of doors like that. The pastor should have been more careful. Reparation of some kind would have been in order.

That’s another good reason why non-Catholics are to be prohibited from receiving The Eucharist!

How would I feel? Angry, hurt, upset and helpless. I would pray and might even intervene depending on how close I was to the desecration in progress, and my ability to get there in time to make a difference.
