Excellent. A Filipino Danny DeVito. Not afraid to have an opinion. I find him very straight forward and kind of old fashioned. Which is what I and apparently all the older folk like. Not sure he hits it off with the young crowd though.

Please let’s keep this thread as charitable as possible. It could potentially be bad. I’m willing to read along and see where it goes, but rating an ordained priest isn’t something I am comfortable doing.

My parish priest would score 10 out of 10. He is a holy and faithful priest.

I sometimes try to imagine how tough the life of a parish priest would be . I mean it is more than just giving inspirational homilies. it is a very practical job. Seven days a week and the pay is not that great. I admire their self-sacrifice actually. It’s a tough gig.

I’d give 10 out of 10 for Fr. Wencil at my church. He is every caring and involved. He is the reason we stay at the parish we are at.

The shame of the rogue priest sex scandal is that it tarred good honest hard working priests with the same brush. Ones with integrity and real models for Jesus Christ. My heart goes out to these beautiful priests.

I would rate them highly. All good men. Great homilies, friendly and caring, able to connect with people. :+1:t2:

Our priest is a very kind man tonight at the Holy Day Mass My blood sugar dropped and he could see that I was shaking because I was close to the front row he went to the rectory and got me some orange juice with a lid on it and made sure that it actually got into my mouth.then he brought communion to where I was sitting. Then when mass was over he took me home because obviously I was not able to drive walked me to my apartment and did not leave until my blood sugar reading was where it was suppose to be and let me tell you nothing innapprpriate happened he even called the Bishop to let him know what was going on.

Excellent. Understands his job is to help get his parishioners to Heaven. Also he is not afraid to talk about political issues and focuses on pro life with abortion being the primary concern.

We have 3 priests and they are all excellent. They each have their strengths, but all of them care very much for the souls of the parishioners.

We are blessed with a priest who went from high school to seminary and are also blessed with a priest who had a secular career for many years as well had been contemplating marriage/had been engaged at one point until he could no longer ignore the call of God. The two perspectives add a lot to enrich our parish. A plus

Mine is new so I can’t really say. He seems okay but spends ages reading the notices at the end of Mass. He did move a weekday Mass to the evening so working people could make it.

Very smart, getting up there in years, and overworked.

Im thinking it must be important for priests to be able to connect with kids as they visit schools and have class masses plus visit classrooms. Well they did in my day. The ability to connect with all age groups is an underrated skill. Just like doctors have to be flexible with different ages.
