As a college kid, the booklets on ‘How You Can Help Kids Stay Catholic in College’ hit the nail on the head. I’m currently the president of the Catholic Student Union on my campus and let me tell you, trying to do God’s work on campus here is a war.

“In virtually every class, they find some way to push radical feminism and gay rights.
Atheism is the preferred religion. Hedonism is the accepted lifestyle. Rebelliousness against God and Christianity is highly encouraged.
And any student who dares to object to the moral bankruptcy being preached from the professor’s pulpit is condemned for being “hateful” and “intolerant.”
Political correctness permeates the intellectual climate—and any deviation from being “tolerant” is simply not tolerated.
Every anti-Christian, immoral, and radical group gets “carte blanche” on campus.
But Christian or Catholic groups? Persecuted.
Pro-life groups? Persecuted.”

In my four years at college, I would say that Karl gave an accurate assessment on what life is like on a college campus, at least in the State Universities of New York (SUNY). I urge you all, support this CA Project. I know sometimes we get a bad rep, but the youth are not just the future of the Church…we are the Church here and now! We are your future priests, deacons, nuns, religious life, theologians, and leaders of the Church.

Please donate to this cause and help the few but proud Catholics on my campus fight the good fight!

In Christ,
~Mario

My prayers are with you and all the young catholics in college campuses everywhere. I can definitely confirm that we did have to face the old lineup you’ve quoted at University of Florida, Gainesville. Being a big campus it was easy to just ignore them and do your own thing.

Frankly I am always surprised to see these radical groups get “carte blanche” on campuses everywhere. They can definitely get in your head.

God Bless you all.
