Hubby may have a job!

Mostr of you know hubby was laid of in January. My husband interviewed yesterday and it’s looking really good. They had him take a two hour test, meet with the plant manager and the go for a physical. They getting a type of machine at their shop that my hubby ran (their very new) that no one at this shop has run before. So it’s looking good. They said they’d call next week. It’s a better job then what my husband had before. It’s a union shop and the pay is better.

My friend’s husband passed his resume around to all his contacts and this was one of them. It’s only 15 minutes from us. I’m so hopeful.

Please pray this works out for us.

My husband was laid off from his excellent job he had for 22 years in 2002. He was earning 42 hr. CAD. full benefits. He was 38 at the time of the layoff. He looked for 15 months for a job in his field. No
go. He was over qualified, and too old. He went for one interview in
2003 4 times, they were going to hire him, and he was passed over
for someone younger than him. :mad: They told us he was to experienced for the job. He finally got another job at 9hr CAD in
Janaury of '04. He is now up to 16hr CAD. The lay off cost us verything we had, our house, or car, everything. We are only now
starting to get back on our feet. It has been a very hard road. I
will pray for your husband, that he lands the job! God bless you both!

I will pray for you and your husband and God willing he will get the job. I pray daily for my husband to keep his job.

I was looking for this thread earlier today, just hoping for some news. I’m so happy for you! We were in the same situation four years ago and I know what an emotional roller coaster it can be.

Please keep me in your prayers. I am going in for surgery Tuesday to remove scar tissue that’s causing narrowing in my small intestines.
