Despite all the setbacks, delays, misdirected paperwork…

Sister Lucy called me today to tell me she got my decision from the Tribunal and the defect of form was granted based on my ex’s prior marriages.:yup:

I was at work when she called, and I broke down crying for a few minutes. It felt so good - like something cracking off of me. My boss (who is Catholic too) grabbed me and we hugged our heads off.

I so want to thank all of you for encouraging me to be patient (don’t know if I drove you crazy 😦 sorry).

I am so excited and hopeful that I WILL be able to do some Tiber swimmin this Easter…we’ll see 😃

Thank you so much…I know some don’t approve of anulments, but after living in a psychologically and physically abusive marriage resulting in a 6 month stay in a domestic violence shelter, I really asked myself a LOT of questions about how this happened in the first place. I attended classes at the shelter to learn what to watch for in relationships and what my issues were that led to my marrying someone without even knowing him well.

I’m thankful God and the church believe in forgiveness and offer hope-and I’m REALLY glad I found CAF during this time. The ability to ask questions, share frustrations, and generally ‘hang out’ here has greatly enriched my knowledge and understanding…

…And some people have never been in an abusive relationship or they wouldn’t say a word… Thank the Lord! I cried when mine came in too…
