Someone sent me a history of the battle of Lepanto by William Thomas Walsh. Within it is a claim of human sacrifice to Mohammed. I don’t know much about Islam, but I doubt that there’s human sacrifice to Mohammed. Can anyone substantiate or rebut this? Here’s the quote:

“…Before Ali Pasha left for the Bosphorus with forty great galleys, four Christian prisoners were crucified, and others skinned alive, as sacrifices to Mohammed for victory. …”

Salaam/peace

Right. Muhammed (p) is not our diety , he was a human being , a servant & messenger of God.

All our prayers , animal sacrifices are dedicated to God only.

**Put the period after “being,” and you’ll be closer to the truth

I confess there is NO GOD but Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and Jesus is God Incarnate risen from the dead!**

maybe he meant other mohammed
(and there were millions of them )as it didn’t say *the prophet * mohammed

btw,Ali Pasha’s son named mohammed ,

Interesting. I have never heard of that story. As Nicolas pointed out, it could be another ‘Mohammad’. Also, i want to point out a fact there are people named ‘Mohammad’ in the M.E, who are Christians, and not Muslims. No pun intended.
