Humans in hell don't want or can't repent? Why can't?

By the same reason we know that Alice is older than Chris in the example below.

“Alice is older than Beatrice. And Beatrice is older than Chris.”

Tradition has taught us and It is said many many times in Sacred Scriptures that God is just and that God does not change. One who does not change and is just is, consequently, eternally just. Infinitely just.

This is in direct opposition to Church teachings. There is no ‘last chance’ to repent when you see God. When you’re dead, you’re judged immediately and you go one way or the other (or the middle, if you’re not so bad). It’s not a drawn-out trial in the supreme court.
At that point, God doesn’t care anymore. Well, He probably does care, but you still go to Hell.
That is Church teaching: you go to Hell forever, even though God still loves you.
I did not mean to infer that there was some sort of last chance when we are judged, though I understand how what I wrote can be interpreted that way. I apologize for the confusion.

What I meant was that the souls of these people have become so warped by sin, they are so attached to their sin, that they would rather flee from the love and beauty of God than stand before Him and have to acknowledge the evil they have done.

Again, I apologize for the confusion, I should have chosen my wording better.
