I am trying to take the humility lessons to hear and it’s getting hard. I know that I should be, and am proud of the work I do. I am just getting upset that because I do my job well (I teach students with autism in a middle school) I get no support. All the available help is in another room hanging out for the day. Anyway,

I need prayers for humility. I am grateful that I am these students’ teacher.

Here’s one I (humbly) try to pray everyday.

Litany of Humility

Rafael Cardinal Merry del Val (1865-1930),
Secretary of State for Pope Saint Pius X

O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed,
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being loved…
From the desire of being extolled …
From the desire of being honored …
From the desire of being praised …
From the desire of being preferred to others…
From the desire of being consulted …
From the desire of being approved …
From the fear of being humiliated …
From the fear of being despised…
From the fear of suffering rebukes …
From the fear of being calumniated …
From the fear of being forgotten …
From the fear of being ridiculed …
From the fear of being wronged …
From the fear of being suspected …

That others may be loved more than I,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.

That others may be esteemed more than I …
That, in the opinion of the world,
others may increase and I may decrease …
That others may be chosen and I set aside …
That others may be praised and I unnoticed …
That others may be preferred to me in everything…
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should…

I will be praying for you.

And THANK YOU for what you do everyday! God will Bless you so much.

Praying for you…humility is probably a struggle for all - St. Francis of Assisi said that pride dies 10 minutes after we do…take heart and fight the good fight. Saints are sinners who wont give up…

Heather may the peace of God always be wih you, and bless you for the work you do.

Father, please guide heathernoel on the path in her quest for humility. Amen.

“For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few” (Matt. 7:13–14).

Lord change this teacher’s heart to a truly humble heart and let her be happy at being a humble Christian Catholic woman . thanks to you Almighy Father, in the name of Jesus, amen . John
