Hello,

I wrote several weeks ago requesting prayers for my husband not to have prostate cancer, but we received the news today that he definitely has cancer. I thank you all for your prayers and ask that you keep praying for him. My husband is only 55. One of the biopsies shows perineural invasion which I just read is the major mechanism of prostate cancer spread outside the prostate.

I am terribly frightened and worried. Please pray…

Therese

Therese, your husband is most certainly in my prayers.

Dear Saint Peregrine, please pray for healing of this man’s cancer!

Immaculate heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.

Therese, I will be praying for your husband. Our family is facing a cancer crisis right now and I understand your being scared.

Therese my heart really goes out to you and your husband. My prayers are with you for comfort and recovery!

I am praying for your husband. I know several people who have beaten this disease, so keep you hopes up. My brother had it about 5 years ago, had his prostate removed and is still enjoying life.

Tomorrow is the Feast of St. Philomena (Aug. 11). She is the Patroness of hopeless cases and has been attributed to many miraculous cures. There is a Cord of St. Philomena, a sacramental much like the Brown Scapular, that you wear tied around your waist (it is red & white to symbolize St. Philomena’s purity and martyrdom). It would be wonderful if you could pray to her for a miracle tomorrow on her Feast Day and for your hubby to start wearing the Cord. She has interceded for my family many times with great results.

Hi Therese, I had stage 3 cancer. It had met. to my lymphs and lungs. The Dr’s broke the news to me like I would be dead in a couple of months. That was four years ago. I just have some “scar” tissue now that is checked every six months. Cancer is not the end. It is the toughest thing I have been through, but the grace of God makes it “different”. I can’t explain why, but there is a kind of peace you get when battleing cancer. Everything is more focused and simple. They call it chemo fog, but it is really grace. Hang in there. And you two have my prayers. Tim

Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen

We are still praying for Rodney’s healing and for peace in both your lives. How is he doing? I wanted to let you know that my husband and I prayed a novena to St. Philomena starting on her Feast Day for this intention. :signofcross:

Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness. Comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrw with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your holy will and know that whatsoever you do, you do for the love of us… AMEN

Both your husband and you have my prayers Therese

My dad had this and beat it! His doctors told him after his surgery that he had 5 more years. That was 3 years ago and he’s just as tough and feisty as he was when I was a kid. I know he’s not going anywhere yet and neither is your husband!👍
