Please pray for my husband’s return to the Church, as well as for the graces that I need to handle this trial in a manner which glorifies our Lord. Thank you very much and may God bless you…
 
I will include you both in prayer at adoration this week. The Lord always answers our prayers, just not how and when we always like. And of course, the human he’s ‘working on’ has to be open to listening to Him.👍
 
I’m praying for the same thing for my husband! We’ll keep each others husbands in our prayers, perhaps?

Thank you all for your prayers…I can’t tell you how much they’re appreciated. I do realize that all is in God’s time, not mine, but I just have some days when I need extra graces…and it seems like I’ve been in one of those slumps lately. I’ve come to accept that all I can do is pray…discussions turn into debates…which turn into arguments. Also, I’m unfamiliar with the Green Scapular…could you share this with me? Thanks so much!

The Green Scapular is a gift from Our Lady most specifically for the conversion of others. The person for whom you’re praying does not need to even know about it. I’ve been praying with two for my husband’s conversion for more than a year now. My husband was not raised Catholic, and has had a hardened heart to Christianity in general most of his life. Now since I’ve been praying for his conversion, the above prayer, leaning on the Green Scapular for Our Lady’s intercession, he’s said numerous times that he believes the Catholic church is the one true Christian faith. It’s absolutely amazing the change that’s come over him, and it’s all due to prayer. He’s not converted, but I have more faith everyday that it will happen. I wouldn’t have even hoped for it before, but now it really looks like a certainty, in God’s own perfect time that is…

You can purchase a Green Scapular in any Catholic Bookstore (so long as they’re not sold out!! 😉 ), or you can get one online here (this is a particularly beautiful one that includes a St. Benedict medal). Above all, you must know that the power of the scapular is dependent on the fervor and faith of the one who is saying the prayer.

Make sure to have the Green Scapular blessed by a priest. I have one pinned to my husband’s side of our mattress, and another I slipped into the back of the drivers seat of his truck. He doesn’t know anything about either one. The favors Our Lady obtains for us from God are absolutely amazing. Even with the most hardened hearts!

My husband too sometimes wants to debate the faith with me. I don’t let it go very far anymore. I tell him he needs to seek out the answers for himself. Don’t be trapped into trying to lead him in his faith. Men understand faith very differently from women, the best way we can help them is live the example and pray for them. Men must pave their own paths. Don’t fall into arguments with him. Ask for Saint Joseph’s intercession on his behalf as well.

To warn you, I noticed immediately after enlisting the help of the Green Scapular, there were some fairly heated arguments at first. As if the dust was being shaken out a bit. Just take care if you see something like that, don’t let it go too far. It’s just the devil coming out of him, and he’s going to go after you and your relationship. React with love and kindness.

BeeSweet…thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I can’t wait to go to my local Catholic store and see if they have one to purchase. I’ve been saying the rosary as often as possible, and also I’ve started the Divine Mercy Chaplet…now I have another new weapon! 👍
