Hi,
We’re looking for a collection of songs we can sing after our family prayer. We certainly don’t want to sing songs that are heretical, but we’re also not opposed to songs of protestant origin. I (the convert) made a comment that most good hymns were written by protestants. My wife (cradle catholic) was offended. I remember (before the current monopoly of praise songs in evangelical churches) singing so many great hymns growing up. Anyone have any good suggestions for a book or website? My wife does play the piano, so it might be good to have instrumental music included as well. We’re not opposed to praise songs or the typical catholic hymnal, but I honestly think both or pretty lame. Thanks for any advice.
