Hyper-Dispensationalism....

This was the last of the denominations I studied before coming home to the Catholic Church. This group takes its teaching from dispensationalist but goes a little further. Dispensationalist believe the whole Bible is for us but not to us. Hyper-dispensationalist says from the book of Romans to Philemon is for us everthing else is not to us. I’m already confused lol. That’s the most confusing thing ever. Do they themselves even know what they believe I wonder?

I once corresponded with a guy who believed that only the Gospels, Revelation, Daniel, and any specific verse from OT books that Jesus quoted (taken entirely out of context, of course, because nothing that’s not specifically, verbatim, in those 6 books can be trusted) were the infallible Word of God. As seen in the parenthetical, not one word more, from any book, is trustworthy to him. It was the most special I’ve ever personally encountered. It didn’t take me long to see that trying to reason with him was a lost cause…
