Is the hypostatic union the same as the incarnation?
Yes. The term hypostatic union refers to the fact that there is a union of natures in one hypostasis. Jesus is both God and man. Incarnation refers to God becoming man. The Oriental Christians speak of ‘one incarnate nature of God the Word’. In the Incarnation there is a union of human with the divine.

Good answer 🙂 Yes, it refers to the union of the two natures (human and divine) in one Divine Person (the Word of God).
