I’m back and with a question! Any experience with the novena to St. Theresa of the little flower?

So I’ve been not posting questions but wanted some (name removed by moderator)ut. I keep looking for signs of God and evidence of God in my life how do I determine if something is a sign for God or simply a coincidence? I look for signs e everywhere and I know that is wrong. Could God send signs to help me believe in him? I had an odd situation pop up yesterday which I am trying to discern and some people told me I am maybe overthinking it but it seems too coincidental. I can go into it if need be but figure I would spam if I look for too many signs.

Your very resilience may be a sign of God. Most unbelievers would have gave up at that point.
It may be a good idea to ask for Saint Thomas intercession, he had the same struggle of yours.

I think as you progress in your journey of faith, you will be able to start to see more and more of those signs.

They are there, but it takes, well, practice, to get to understand what they are.

Keep it up, and God bless you in your continuing journey.

It’s shear fear lol I have a fear of non existence and I love people around me immensely and I want there to be something more! Specifically an afterlife so I don’t lose them forever.

Ok so here’s what happened I prayed a novena to the little flower on Tuesday and on Wednesday I was set to fly out. I was obviously looking for signs but the next day on Wednesday my plane was late and so my usual custom is to get a beer while I wait to board since the airport is small. Anyway I ordered a beer that coincidentally was named Rose which is funny cause the bartender was like I hate Rose are you sure? And I didn’t put two and two together that that could be my sign from the novena it’s pink smells and tastes like roses and is name rose. This particular brewery has like 100 mass produced beers and they were out of all of them except that one. I know it’s a stretch but the novena to St. Theresa is sometimes going to result in a rose of some sort. Also then my plane was way late and I shouldn’t have had time to get to the next plane but it landed at the wrong gate which resulted in me being 20 feet from my next flight instead of a 30 minute jog. This gave me time to see a nun standing there who was willing to pray with me for my conversion. I didn’t realize the rose connection until after I prayed with her but it would seem God allowed a personal sign in that he knew I would have that beer so why not kill two birds with one stone and give me a rose and then at the height of my anxiety a nun was waiting to pray! Likely coincidence but could it be God and an answer to my novena?

That’s cool! I would say it’s a sign. I’ve never tried the Novena to St. Theresa but will try it. I’ve been struggling (no pun intended OP) for the past year in where my life is going. I’ve prayed and prayed to God to show me the way and I feel like I’m stuck with silence. Just one little sign here or there would certainly give me some hope for the future that someone “up there” hears my prayers.

How about you pm me your first name and I’ll pray a rosary for you tonight. If he’s listening to my prayers maybe I can pray for you. God willing. I said a rosary for someone else and it helped them find answer!

my nun friend told me she would find a rose really randomly after praying a novena to her.

That’s a interesting story! Could very well be a sign!
May I share a sign that happened with me? In the beginning of this year, during the final process of my conversion, I was almost having a hard time becoming Catholic because I would not feel ok at the Novo Ordo Missæ (feels to “protestant” to me, no offense intended to the ones who like it).
One day I was having a snack at a restaurant far from home when I met a friend from college who I haven’t seen in years and he just invited to watch the Tridentine Mass at his Parish (not SSPX btw).
The next Sunday when the Mass finished I was 100% positive I finally came Home!
If I had not met that friend by chance I don’t know if I would be in the Church now or how hard that would have been.
God deals with us in His own Time

Signs happen and we often expect to see one, some are over time and some are like your story. A sign is something we declare that seems so extraordinary it makes us stop and think.

Now that I look back on my youth, I could remember things that Im sure were signs God gave me. Short story about back in middle school, an incident occured where this kid wanted to beat me up. There was more to it but long story short, I was scared that the next day he would beat me up(and it was part of my fault also why he wanted to) so I prayed to God because I was full of fear. I knew it was part of my fault so I confessed that in my prayer and it was one of the first times I became so devoted in prayer for God’s help. The next day at school, he wasn’t there, I was on my toes for the next couple days and he still wasn’t at school. After a week or so, he came back with a twisted leg(I think it was twisted, not broken) and it seemed as if he forgot about the entire incident. We were talking as if nothing happened and I didnt dare say anything about before.

It was one of the first times that I acknowledged the forgiveness God had in my life. Of course I could say coincidence, but signs are what we declare of something that just seems extraordinary that it makes us stop and actually think. It changes how we do things. Of course signs may not seem to be coming especially when we ask, but God answers in strange ways. Im sorry this was long but ever since that sign that happened to me, I never demanded another sign in prayer, I knew God was there. Even then I still didnt grow in faith until later during highschool, but never did I think twice that God wasn’t there with me.

Im sorry it was so long 😥 but I know you are still on your journey, we all are, but even for those who have faith as much as a mustard seed can have it grow into something huge. Keep praying and surely God will show, not physically, but with spirit and faith. Prayers to you!

I got caught up in it once. I came to church to pray the rosary and was inundated by a group.

That’s a very healthy fear indeed!
Your very desire for Eternity is a sign of God. I remember CS Lewis talking about it in one of his books. When I remember which one I will pm you

If you are trying, then there is no such thing as stupidity. God is closer than we think and questions like this surely will help you and ourselves understand better 😁

Fun fact: I was on the website on my phone and I look up at the TV after reading your story and there is the main character of Full House wearing a shirt with a ring of roses.

But, may well be a sign. All out of every other thing except that, eh…
