I’m Celibate! Going on 2nd week!

This was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do apart from the military, homelessness, and times I’ve tried to quit smoking. But yes, it took me a long time but I did it.

It took about a month to get this way fully. First week, messed up a couple times and went to confession. Next week, messed up a couple more times while thinking “I’m going to confession anyway I’ll be fine.” Continued the next week in the same manner but only messed up once. Then, last week, I told myself on the day of confession to do it and refused. Now I’m on week 2 of celibacy!

And just to clarify terms, I am going to assume our original poster means that they are being chaste.

For Catholics “Celibate” has a specific meaning, it does not just mean “I am living chastely”.
