I accidentally threw away my medals

I moved house yesterday so I removed three St. Benedict medals from my home and wrapped them up, they were in my bag for weeks as the move was delayed but accidentally threw them away when I emptied my bag full of items. The dustbin is miles away and probably emptied by now. They had been exorcised by my priest. I feel sad about it but assumed I didn’t commit a mortal sin?
 
You did not commit a mortal sin. You can never accidentally commit a mortal sin; you must have full consent and full knowledge.
 
Mortal sin would be with your full knowledge/as purposeful or intentional…it was just an accident, it’s okay accidents happen! 🙂

I’m pretty sure that you mean you had them blessed. That’s a good thing. I have a large collection of medals I like to wear. What I consider the “power-hitters” or “A-Team” of saints.
