I am so scared of Gustav

Please, please, PLEASE keep us in your prayers!

Hurricane Gustav is expected to make a direct hit to my town and I am so scared. We just built a new house and have so much to lose. Please keep us in your prayers, especially as it makes landfall Monday/Tuesday.

Also, please pray for my brother who fell off of a ladder late this evening trying to board up his windows in preparation for the storm. He is currently in the ER right now…there is a strong possibility that he has a broken ankle.😦

My stomach is in knots. I cannot think straight. I have never been so scared and worried in my life. And I know I have no control over any of this, but I just cannot seem to calm myself down.😦 :crying:
 
Are you still at home? When are you leaving to get to someplace safe? Please don’t wait till it’s too late - stuff is just stuff, you can’t replace yourselves!!!

Surely you have insurance on the house…stuff is stuff. Get out NOW so you’ll all be safe. God bless you, and everyone down there! :crossrc:

I am praying for you BUT .you need to get in your car and head north NOW!
 
Please do consider evacuating…GOODcase scenario is you evacuate, your house stands up through it, and you move back in. WORSE case scenario is you evacuate and your house doesn’t pull through, and insurance and FEMA cover it. WORST case scenario is your house doesn’t pull through, and your family is in it. Praying that your town pulls through, but the important stuff/things are the lives involved.
 
i will be praying for you and all of the others who might be in the path of hurricane Gustaf!!

i pray everyone will evacuate safely.

the frustrating part is watching the tv coverage and knowing that we don’t know the exact path hurricane gustaf will take. anything could happen.

it is always better to be safe and get out!!!

I know how you feel, as we’ve been through our share of hurricanes ourselves. I do hope you plan to evacuate; nothing is worth risking your lives for. I’ll be praying for you, and for all affected (we will be on the far eastern edge of things, apparently) and hope that Gustav loses strength before landfall.
 
Update on my brother:

He shattered several bones in his foot & ankle.😦 He had surgery late last night, and is awaiting surgery to put plates and screws in. He will be in the hospital for 5-7 days, which means he will be in for the hurricane.😦 Not to mention he will be out of work for a while too.

Please pray for him.

:signofcross:Mother Mary, hold him in your arms as he starts to heal. Ask you son to send the hurricane a different direction or to lessen it so stayathomemom’s family doesn’t have to worry about him being in the hospital.
