I used the term “traddie” I didn’t know that it insulted people. I call myself a “moderate traddie” and I know people who refer themselves as “traddies.” I didn’t mean it as a perjorative.😦

Personally, I don’t see how this could be considered an insult. I consider myself a traditional Catholic and the nickname “traddie” doesn’t seem offensive. Some people are just way too sensitive. I wouldn’t apply this or any other label to a ***particular person ***on this forum because I don’t know anyone personally and might apply it wrongly, but I don’t see how the term in general is offensive.

These abbreviations can be used as an insult I suppose, thus the forum ban on them. Obviously, you didn’t mean it as an insult, so no apology needded. 🙂

It doesn’t bother me, personally. One of my friends calls me “POD” all the time, for Pious Overly Devotional. I consider it a term of endearment coming from him 😉 But if anyone calls me names in a demeaning manner, I’ll just offer it up rather than strangling them with my mantilla. 😃

Now go and sin no more. 😉

Relax, I don’t think you got under anyone’s skin. You’re OK with me.

I like your posts Hopeful and don’t think you offended anyone with that. 🙂
