This message is aim at those of Protestant Christians or Non-Catholic Christians;

As you know I have acted in ways that is contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church. I admit my cause for my frustrations stems from the newbie Protestants who just recently come here and preached what they believe and share the Gospel.

Though they have misconceptions about the Catholic Church, they do so with complete sincerity. It’s not their fault they don’t know or have some sort of misunderstanding of the Catholic Church. I had only wish they received the Catholic understanding of why we believe our faith is the fullness of truth.

Disagree all you want, but at least show some understanding. I have notice the difference between the Protestants in this forum and those Protestants in the military. The Protestants in the military seems to show more toleration of understanding the Catholic position. Though they do not believe what we believe.

I deeply ask from the depths of my heart, your forgiveness. Lately, pray for me. I believe the more we pray for one another the more we become more charitable.

Peace in Christ be with you,

It’s interesting you mention the Protestants in the military seem to have more respect for others (RCs & non-RCs).

My spouse’s experience in the military was quite the same (10yrs US Navy). It seems that when the “rubber hits the road” & one needs to make every moment count, there is more focus on the similarities of beliefs (aka unity), than on bickering over petty differences.

Dear Manny,

In your case, living in your condition, you must, off course, have some sort of brotherhood with your fellow units/friends regardless of what belief you have. Your life and theirs are interdependent to one another (and also vertically to God), and the threat is real as compared to us.

Hope that you are OK together with all of your units, and hope that you can comeback to your motherland as soon as possible. By that time, you will have more relax and peaceful time discussing in this forum. God bless you all.

I am proud of you Manny. 🙂

Your humbleness and willingness to apologize is encouraging and heart-warming. 👍 Keep keepin’ on and I will keep you in my prayers.

I forgive you. I’ll wipe that “repent or go to hell”(paraphrasing) comment from my memory.😉

VARC,

I haven’t crossed paths with you on the forums, but I think I like you already.

😃 Manny, you are one of the first people I remember from way back when I first came to the CAF forums. You have been in my prayers ever since.

Peace in Christ be with you,

Manny, I think of you and pray for you often.
You are really such a great Christian gentleman, and I know that God has something special in His plans for your life.
I know that you are really passionate about your faith, and I admire you so much for that.
God bless you, my friend, and keep you safe now & always.:gopray2: :gopray2: :gopray2: :gopray2:

The guilt I had for being hostile made me realized that I need to seek forgiveness.

I’m also a Catholic who prays the Divine Mercy Chaplet, so I have to practice what God has taught us. “Be merciful just as your Father is merciful.”

Amen!

Your passion is something to be respected, as well as the soft heart it takes to recognize that we all need to be merciful.

Bless you!

**Amen Mannyfit75, You are on Peter’s Rock, and you throw that Rock very hard at times. I was humbled by a Priest one time about my apologetics towards non-Catholics. He said Once you posses the Truth, be careful with it that you dont discourage others from God, Walk softly, because the Truth can Hurt… but it also sets us free… P.S Try not to finish out my thoughts next time, you settled the matter before I could get started. Oh, dont get me wrong, its nice to have you around defending the faith, but I will call you if I need you ok, Love you and praying for all of Our Military, including My Son Cpl Marine presently in Iraq.

May God bless you and increase your faith for your humilty Peace of the Lord be with you…👍**

Manny, I admire your humility. We all can fail and fall at times. I certainly know that I have.

May God bless you. 🙂

You have my forgiveness, only way that we can learn is ask.

Peace in Christ be with you,
Manny you don’t even have to ask my BROTHER. May GOD bless you and keep you safe. I ask everyone here to pray that you come home safely to us but more importantly to your family.

PEACE and GOD Bless.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus Christ. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

I know how you feel brother, I am very easily drawn into passionate debates and God has taught me (the hard way!) about love, charity, and forgiveness. We all tend to go overboard at times! Keep praying.

With respect to your experience in the military, Fr John Corapi always says “no atheists in foxholes…”

In Prayer,

Peace in Christ be with you,
It’s a two way street. Many of the Catholics on the board do all the same things to the non-Catholics that get on your nerves when non-Catholics do it to you. I haven’t been here too long but there is a growing number of Catholics that are less than charitable.

You probably deal with the Protestants that you encounter in the military on a face to face basis. Face to face encounters usually have a greater chance of being charitable than do anonymous internet forum dialogues. It’s a pity because both sides here at CAF would benefit from less flaming.
