We all say things we don’t mean sometimes, me included. With the exception of those trolls who consistently refuse any kind of correction right off the bat, you just have to take the good with the bad and hope others will have the courtesy to do the same for you. So yeah, you’re okay… don’t worry too much about it.
I second that troll part. šŸ™‚

not being Catholic I try not to post too much at this forum, but so far I’ve limited myself to the apologetics & non-Catholic religion forums šŸ™‚

is this apology sincere ? I believe it is

if so what is it’s ultimate purpose ? who knows, not me

my first reaction is poster crying crocodile tears…

worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-cro1.htm

yes I hope it is 100 to 1 against islam in this forum. all too many other forums have a head-in-the-sand, reality-denying approach to this global threat. from what I’ve read, I largely agree with what Catholic’s publish about islam

and a few quotes from that lengthy, interesting & well written article…

Dialoguing with those who have, in the back of their minds, the idea of Islamizing us and reducing us to dhimmi status, as subjects of an inferior order, simply makes no sense. Dialogue with moderate Muslims should not only be pursued; it should be increased, and the moderates supported in every way possible, even more so than the support that was given to the anti-Soviet resistance. But these forms of openness must be combined with a politics of distrust and suspicion

Within the Muslim world, Islamization means de-Westernizing everything: from political and cultural institutions to economic ones, even to the point of rethinking banking operations. On the outside, it means spreading Islam through vigorous missionary activity, in both Europe and the United States: this activity is supported above all by Saudia Arabia. But according to the most radical interpretations, Islamizing the West means violently attacking its political and economic power, without sparing the civilian population.

This pan-Islamist program might make some smirk, just as many smirked at Hitler before his political ascent. But this is a real program, which is being carried out according to a clear plan, and although it is working slowly, it is producing results.

I’m not sure what you said that you are apologizing for but some of our separated Christian bretheren could learn a thing or two from your humility.

God bless.

Rochus

Now this is a GREAT thread. You are an example of humility. What a nice apology.

Thanks - it makes me šŸ™‚

Wow. Hitler, Muslim World domination, distrust, suspicion.
All the guy did was apologize. Does it shake your belief system that much? If so you might want to rethink your belief system. Do you really think an extreme fraction of a religion is going to change the west all because of an apology? You just can’t change how a country thinks. I think that was uncalled for.

no it doesn’t shake my belief system, that would be the all too many muslim apologists appearing in all too many of these forums, but that’s a different topic that seems to offend some of y’all so I’ll stop

if you don’t think it was called for that’s good feedback. Like I typed I don’t post here too often. if you want to tolerate this stuff fine, I don’t want to, but since I’m not Catholic I don’t feel too strongly about posting alot here, but it is good reading šŸ™‚

Fair enough. It doesn’t ā€œoffendā€ me. I just think your statement would fall under a different thread.
I was just trying to make the point the guy was apologizing. I sincerely doubt anyone on this forum that is jewish, catholic, protestant, JW, SDA or whatever are going to convert to Islam because a muslim apologized for writing less then nice things on this forum. These people on here are pretty firm in what they believe.

If I understand the point you are trying to make is if we on these forums are true ā€œChristiansā€ we should know better to even associate with Muslims because they stand for all which is wrong.
I disagree with that. I do not think all Muslims are ā€œevilā€ and should not be denied a right to engage in conversation on ā€œnon catholicā€ forums.
Peace man,
Jon
