I bought a rosary for me!

I have a plastic beaded one (blue). I remember working at the library and seeing someone come in with a Rosary that looked just like mine, but it was green (probably just came back from the Catholic church down the street from the library, which has 5:30pm church services).

There’s also a pale bluish-green rosary (not sure if the beads are pearl, or something) that my great-grandmother used to have. My great-aunt had it, and gave it to my mom (who’s Lutheran, so the most use it gets now is as a bedpost decoration…).
 
I have 3 at the moment. One is a beautiful red garnet rosary that my auntie gave to me many years ago, as a gift from a Cathedral in Canada and blessed by the Bishop there - it is however a little crippled at the moment compliments of my baby grandchildren :tsktsk: - it was missing the crucifix (or so I thought that was ALL it was missing) so I went to the Catholic Store and bought a new crucifix to attach to it- well, no sooner did I get that job done when I noticed that the 3 small beads and 1 large bead was missing as well:( I don’t have any idea where they might be:rolleyes: been praying for St. Anthony to help me find them but no luck yet. The other one is a gift from Rome and it is a beautiful saphire rosary (my birth month) That’s the one I use all the time. The 3rd is yet another gift from London and it is a beautiful crystal rosary that is still in the box and has not been blessed yet.

Hmmm, this is strange! Until I posted this reply I didn’t realize that A. All three of my rosaries have been gifts, and B. They have all come from different countries! Wow!!

BTW, while we are on the subject, anyone know where I can purchase (maybe similar) rosary beads for my slightly crippled rosary? Come to think of it the next trick would be to put it together.:hmmm:
 
I have two, both brown wooden beads because they are my favourite. One is a souvenir of a Papal Visit JP2 made to Australia in 1986, needless to say I treasure it and it’s been well-prayed-with - even worn round the neck on a few occasions.

The other is smaller and more delicate to slip easier into my purse, a Fatima souvenir. I also have an Infant of Prague chaplet with pretty white pearly beads (12 beads, bought it by mistake thinking it was a one-decade Rosary).

And a silver Rosary ring - very discreet to pray with.
 
I have a blue glass bead rosary that I use most often since I like the feel of the beads. I have a red crystal one that my mother gave me, a red plastic bead one that I use sometimes, a brown agate one from Spain, and a black St. Michael’s chaplet.

I think I might have some more tucked away as well.
