I can’t believe we killed God’s Son.

I don’t mean i don’t believe it really happened. I just can’t believe it did happen.

God walked among us, among his creation, and we killed him.

When you comprehend the actual reality of whats happened, it’s actually really messed up, and that is sugar coating it to say the least.

I don’t think people even say that.
I think they get down on their hands and knees and that God for Redemption through the blood of the Lamb.

I know that through his sacrifice we are saved, but it’s still really messed up that we killed Jesus.

On Palm Sunday when we read the Passion Narritave and we, the congregation, the crowd, my own mouth, says the words “Give us Barabbas” and then “Crucify Him”, I barely make it through “Give us…” before I break down in tears.

I believe we all think about that one time or another along our journey of life. Why would God let this happen to His only begotten Son.? What was done to Jesus, the whipping, kicking, spitting on Him, punched, hammering his precious body to that cross was horrific. Though we ourselves were not physically there, we too are responsible, for He died for their sins as well as all generations. God’s will was and Jesus said yes.'While we thought of Him as stricken, as one smitten by God and afflicted But He was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins;Upon Him was the chastisement that makes us whole.by His stripes we were healed… We all had gone astray, like sheep, following his own way,But the Lord laid upon Him the guilt of us all. IsaiaAH 53 4-7

John 15
22 If I had not come, and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23 He that hateth me, hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works that no other man hath done, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But that the word may be fulfilled which is written in their law: They hated me without cause.
