I confess that I’m intimately familiar with the fact that spicy foods go in and come out the same way - burning!

Spicy dish at a Korean restaurant for lunch plus lots of hot wings for dinner, well, you do the math.

Oh yes, the old ‘Burning Ring of Fire’ effect (apologies to Johnny Cash) - as a lover of spicy food I’m all too sadly familiar with it myself.

rules for dining out in SoTex:

the red sauce is always hot
the green sauce is always much, much hotter, you didn’t need those tonsils for anything did you?

if you want unsweet tea, ask for it

gravy is white, thick and peppery so be careful what you ask for, you might get it

don’t assume that a Spanish name for a dish translates into the English word that sounds a lot like it

barbacoa is not what we call Bar B Q

lengua however is exactly what it looks like, the only thing that will change is the type of sauce or mole
