this is my first post as a member of this forum. i am desperately seeking Gods help with a matter of utmost importance to my life. I have loved a man for the past 2 years and he cares for me and loves me just the same. He is the nicest man i have ever come across, kindhearted and loving, but we belong to different religions,he is a hindu and so his parents disapprove of our relationship. Due to their disapproval, we have split up on three occasions in the past, as we were unsure of the future of our relationship. but sum how or the other our relationship has persevered.

After our first split, while i was praying to God, asking HIM to show me a way through this, i picked a bible quote message which quote Matthew 19:6. i took this as a sign from God, that he was watching out for me and he would make all things good. it has been 5 months since that day and we have come back together, but are today on the brink of despair as our efforts to convince my partners parents are still unsuccessful. He told me yesterday that they firmly disagree to us being together.

i am 25 yrs of age and the society i live in demands that i wed soon.but i cannot marry another when i love him…that would be wrong. i believe that while we have to respect our parents wishes, we need to do what keeps us happy. my partner is stuck in between his parents and me as he worries about hurting his parents since they have suffered the loss of a loved one recently, and as he now is the only son,he cant hurt them any further. He worries about hurting me too. He genuinely has been trying to find a way to get them to understand.

we need all the help we can get, pls do keep us in your prayers that together,we might find a way to bring about a change in heart of his parents and that they may understand and accept our relationship. please do pray that we do not loose hope along the way and that we remain true to each other.

i cannot find a way out, am greatly depressed and very much in need of Gods help. there are times i feel like giving up hope but i guess my faith keeps me going. pls do keep us in your prayers.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Praying for both of you.

Memorare

REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Do I understand your not in The U S or one of its closest allies ?
Then if so,that would make it extremely difficult for you both,.
His parents couldn’t realise that everyone should be free to choose whom they wish,
The only real option is to leave your families and create your own lives in a completely different country, praying for you,God Bless

this forum is not the place to get advice. I suggest you and your friend consult a Catholic priest and discuss not only the present situation but related conflicts that may occur in the future.

Pray for the comfort of the Holy Spirit and pray that your faith, hope, and love may increase. If you proceed to marriage, I pray that your faith will be intact and that you are faithful all of your life.

Prayer to the Virgin Mary as Untier of Knots

Holy Mary, full of the presence of God, during your life
you accepted with great humility the holy will of the father
and the legacy of your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, and evil
never dared to entangle you with its confusion. Since then
you have interceded for all of our difficulties as you did
at the wedding feast of Cana. With all simplicity and with
patience, you have given us an example of how to untangle
the knots in our complicated lives. By being our mother
forever you arrange and make clear the path that unites us
to Our Lord.

Holy Mary, Mother of God and ours, with your maternal heart,
untie the knots that upset our lives. We ask you to receive
into your hands this complicated relationship-
to help this woman and her partner do God’s will, and
deliver us from the chains and confusion that restrain us.
Blessed Virgin Mary, through your grace, your intercession
and by your example, deliver us from evil, and untie the
knots that keep us from being united to God. So that free
of all confusion and error, we may find him in all things,
keep him in our hearts, and serve him always in our
brothers and sisters. Mother of Good Counsel pray for us.
Amen.

I pray for Sonia,
that God will come thru to her in a Big way.

Our Father, who is in heaven,
Your name be held holy,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts as we have forgiven our debtors,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

You may need to talk to a catholic priest about this.

God please bring some good out of the situation I’m going through
