I don't like being human --- is this despair/despondence?

If His justice is severe, why allow for souls that are faulty?
Because, while His justice is severe, His mercy is infinite. We have so many options available to us to work things out before we die - the sacrament of reconciliation, the divine mercy chaplet, the 3 o’clock hour, penance, Divine Mercy Sunday (which is amazing, if you think about it. If you’re not familiar with it, please look it up.)
and if a straight person commits the same sin as me, i’m more evil because it’s “unnatural”.
I don’t think that’s the case. I believe any sex outside the sacrament of marriage is pretty much treated the same. Fornication is a sin. Homosexual sex is a sin. Extramarital sex is a sin. Masturbation is a sin. I’ve never been given the impression by the Church that homosexual sex is somehow worse. It’s actually one of the differences I do see between the Catholic faith and most protestant faiths is the consistency on the view of sexual sin. All our bodies are capable of lust and impure thoughts. All of us have that as a challenge. Indeed, you have the additional challenge that with your same-sex attraction you may not be called to marriage and instead to chastity, but your same-sex attraction itself is not a sin. And if you falter, it’s no worse than if I falter.

I’m supposed to talk to a priest? The only time is when I go for confession…I always hope for the mean priest who gives more harsh penance but it’s always the same priest that gives the same penance…

There’s a priest shortage. I’m sure they’re busy enough dealing with their normal work load
The body and its inclinations are the human condition. Those inclinations represent basic drives, and they are powerful ones. As a result I would imagine most of humanity–throughout all of history–has at some point sinned. So, you are far from alone. Sin results from the misue of what is good, and it is necessary to learn how to use the natural inclinations only to serve the good. This is a tall order, I know, and we may falter time and time again during our spiritual journey on the earth. It is mysterious, but we are presented with a challenge. Trust that there are reasons for it that are beyond our understanding. To give up in defeat and despair is no answer. Fear not and do not despair, for the goal is eternal salvation. We are called to persevere, knowing that Christ forgives us. Don’t hesitate to discuss these issues with a priest. He is certainly as human as the rest of us, and he will understand.

Helping people with spiritual troubles is their normal workload. Please don’t feel your troubles aren’t important enough for a priest to take time with.

Since you mentioned that you didn’t think the Rosary was helping you when you said it, today I’m going to start a Rosary novena for you to be sustained, comforted, and consoled by God in this time of trouble for you and that He would increase His help for you to avoid sin. I do think that the Rosary helps when I say it, so maybe it will. 🙂

I’ll try to pray the Rosary again. Maybe for the intentions of reducing/eliminating abortions or end to capital punishment. At least then there’s a “goal”.

Went to confession today. I guess I’m starting over again. Wonder how long until I have to go again…🤷

You sound better. I’m glad to hear you’re going to try the Rosary again and that you went to Confession. I’ll keep praying for you.

The constant temptation, concupiscence, sin, envy, jealousy, pride, judgment, lack of peace, lack of constancy, etc.

I know I’m supposed to depend on God’s grace and mercy, but I really do hate the way I am.

If only that hatred can be turned into something positive like resisting evil…And maybe praying more.

It’s just overwhelming being anxious about not only my sins, but the state of the world and constant bickering within the Church, especially those who have not-so-positive things to say about the pope.

I’ve been planning to go to confession, but it’s just like, “Well, what’s the point? I’m going to cast another haughty eye or entertain lustful thoughts again.” I don’t even know if I have true contrition, even imperfect contrition.

What exactly is human nature? Aren’t angels like pure, sinless beings? Why did God create us? Are angels not capable of love and free will?
Oh My Gosh. I meat my twin. I feel very similarly often. I still go to confession anyways. Maybe you just need alone time. Do not focus so much on the negatvies too.

We’re supposed to “do God’s will”.

And that’s not sinning. OK, got it.

But it’s impossible to not sin. That moment of judgment. That moment of thinking I’m better or more talented than someone else. And countless other things that run through the mind ceaselessly.

I don’t want that to happen. And I know it’s evil.

So why can’t I program myself to not sin?

Human nature is so weak and vulnerable.

Angels are higher beings. I just don’t get why God made us.

Angels technically don’t have a body (but somehow have eyes and wings, not sure how that works out). Is that a negative…?
Again, you really are my twin. Have you read my diary?

Angels don’t “technically not have a body”, they are bodiless. The eyes and wings are figurative. They are pure spirit that unlike us, has no need of a body.

Which is where we come in; Elohim wanted some thinking bodies around. In Life Everlasting, we will possess renewed, everlasting bodies.
