I feel stupid

When I was at Mass earlier tonight, I shook hands with one woman and hugged at least one of my parents. Bishop Soto has made some requests because of the flu situation. (Yes, I reside in the Diocese of Sacramento.) If I remember correctly, I wasn’t entirely sure if his requests were still valid. Nevertheless, I can’t help but feel stupid. Have I sinned even venially?

Your act was not a grave matter. So at best its venial. Next time you receive communion, it will be forgiven and you can confess it later when you get the time.

But honestly though, this is a tad too much worrying… You obviously didn’t even have an intent to disobey the Bishop.
