Tell me, why shouldn’t I? I hate no man, woman, child, or dead person, I love them along with God, the saints, Mary, and all beautiful things. I also love the angels.

But I hate evil and the father of evil.
 
To me, hate implies spending time and effort related to the devil. I prefer to trust in God and ignore the devil.
