Thank you kindly. I started this thread initially because I felt like I needed clarification. I think its good that people are open to talking about things which take them away from God because it can help open people’s eyes to something they may not even be aware of. Who knows, maybe there is someone out there who needs to hear that video-games aren’t so good so that it challenges them to think in a perspective that will ultimately bring them closer to God… with God’s grace, anything is possible. I also think that its very important for people to understand how the their conscience’s work (or lack there of) so that they are properly informed about making the right moral decisions.

So what do y’all think? Should I start a separate thread about my experience with video-games in order to help others that may struggle/have the same issues?

Yes. Please start such a thread.

I find that video games rob us of our ability to think, contemplate and reflect. Because everything is so easy and so instantaneous, I think they, among other electronic conveniences, alter our perceptions of ourselves and our ability to sense the Divine. I think this is a topic worthy of serious discussion.

I’ll bet you’ll have no lack of posters, maybe a few dissenting ones too, but all of it will help bring it (the subject) to the surface where people can look at it and discuss it.
