I’m not aware of any mortal sins, but there is a particular venial sin that is bugging me and I want to confess it. After I confess, everything up to that point is forgiven, as long as I’m truly sorry and I’m not intentionally withholding a mortal sin that needs to be confessed, right? I just want to make sure that when you commit a mortal sin, you know you committed a mortal sin and you also know you need to confess it. I’ve been receiving Communion since this sin; I’d just like to take it to God in the sacrament for extra graces.
I’m going on a vacation with my family tomorrow, and I want to scrub the little marks off my soul first. I just want to make sure I’m doing it right.
A mortal sin has to have 3 conditions at the same time to be a mortal sin:
it has to be grave matter
the sin has to be commited with full knowledge and knowing the gravity of the offense
complete constent.
so basically, if u commited a mortal sin, 100% you will know about it, you can’t accidently commit a mortal sin because u have to meet all 3 conditions in order for it to qualify has being a mortal sin.
I’m 100% sure of this, and don’t listen to any contradictions from anyone
