i ia oe. Aloha nui.Sure. Ask your priest if Eucharistic adoration is scheduled during the week/month/year. Maybe check your bulletin first. If your parish offers a finite period for Eucharistic adoration, like for a few hours on a certain day of the week, you can experience the Benediction with the Blessed Sacrement at the end of adoration, just before the priest returns the Blessed Sacrement to the tabernacle. If not, your priests might know of a neighboring parish that does.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to just ask the priest when the next occasion will be. That’s a pretty non-confrontational way to do it. Maybe it is a regularly occurring thing and they’ve stopped publishing it in the bulletin thinking that everyone who wants to go probably does. Also, does your parish have Adoration in the church building itself? Benediction may fall inside of that.
My Church doesn’t have Adoration, actually. I’ve only seen it once, and that was sometime during Holy Week for only like 2 hours. I don’t want to say it wasn’t real Adoration, but they basically just opened up the Tabernacle. I would’ve liked to see at least a Monstrance or something placed on the Altar.
You are probably thinking of what happens on Holy Thursday evening. Following the Mass of the Lord’'s Supper the Blessed Sacrament is taken out of the tabernacle and reposed in another location. It is not exposed and may be kept in a smaller tabernacle or in a closed ciborium or other container, but never in a monstrance during this time. It is usually kept there until midnight for people to come and pray.
