Deuterocanonical Books in the New Testament. Can anyone tell me where, what, etc?

I am interested in what the Scriptures meant to Jesus (generally it seems they meant quite a lot) and so I was considering your question. I wasn’t able to come up with quote (which certainly doesn’t mean they aren’t there) but the following thought came to mind.

In the book by Richard Bach “Illusions, the Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah”, at one point the converstation between the two main characters goes something like this

Don :“There is no problem so big that it cannot be run away from.”

Richard:" You are quoting Snoopy the Dog."

Don: “I’ll quote the truth whereever I find it.”

I always thought that last phrase was an insightful comment.

In this context, I am suggesting that Jesus would quote anything that might, in the particular situation, help those who are listening to see the truth. I know at one point he quotes some local cliches about the weather and about the harvest time.

Part of the reason to quote a previous statement is the assumption that the person who made that statement originally is someone who the listener will respect. People in different times often have respect for different authoritative sources. If Jesus were here today, I think he would quote Scripture, Saints, popes, and councils (if he were talking to Catholics) if he felt those quotes would help individuals to better understand and respect the truth. Whatever he quoted 2000 years ago was probably motivated by the same reasons.

Anyway, this bit of rambling came as a result of considering your motivation for asking your original question. Perhaps I am way off on a tangent but I thought I would share
