For those of you who don’t know about him, Fr. Mike Schmitz is a priest who posts these wonderful videos on a channel called Ascension Presents, where he gives amazing advice on how to overcome certain sins, get through hard times, and become a better Catholic overall. Through his videos, he changed my life for the better. I highly suggest you guys watch a video or two from him, who knows, it may change your life as well!😊 God bless!
 
His videos are posted regularly by one poster in particular here. They are very good.
 
For some reason I have a hard time watching them. I have yet to get through a whole video. The topic intrigues me, but I can’t stay interested.
 
Odd to hear. He talks quickly and excitedly, which helps me stay interested, but maybe does the opposite for you. I suggest putting headphones in, and closing your eyes and just listening. It also helps when you’re watching/listening about something that you think may help you specifically.
 
I think you are right. It is his delivery that is off putting to me. I am 66 and he talks too quickly and excitedly for me. I wish I could just read a transcript because I get more out of something by reading than listening.

I can’t get through the videos either: not because they bore me, but because his excessive enthusiasm puts me off. The overly-excited presentation feels artificial, somehow.
