Since we are going to be limited soon in topics, I have a question for you Eastern Catholics, are there any Latinizations that you actually liked in your church? Like if your eparchy wanted to get rid of it, you would actually be opposed?

Barring any architectural concerns, how about if we replaced pews with wooden chairs?

None…if I wanted Latin traditions, I’d have stuck with the Latin Church.

I’m fine with pews and I am fine without pews. I prefer them to wooden chairs, but I do see the practical reasons to have more flexible seating. I grew up in a church that had pews, but they were removed from the building from Pasha to Pentecost.

It is also a bit of a stretch to call pews a latinization. Every Orthodox church in my area has pews, including one of the two Russian Orthodox churches.

Some people can have both…each in their own place…no more hybrids!!!
