I invited someone to mass

Ok long story short I told a friend of mine who is going through financial difficulties that i would pray for her and she said she wanted to get back to church and she said she went to a Baptist church but hadn’t been in a while, Since I go to mass on saturday nights i said she could come with me. She is thinking about comming with me tommrow. My question / concern which i think the devil has just put itno my head after the fact is besides telling her to follow my example on all things including NOT reeving the Eucharist what else should i need to know .

I ask as a RCIA candidate but as someone who has been attending mass for almost a year in the flesh and watching on tv for many years before .

The eucharist is the big thing.

Other things are common sense (which unfortunately doesn’t prevent them from happening).

Turn off your cell phone, iPad, iPod, gameboy, etc.
No shorts.
No tank tops or spaghetti straps or see through blouses…etc.
No gum chewing, popcorn, slurpees, etc.
No smoking.
No talking (other than the formal responses).

You might also want to give her a heads-up about the Our Father ending with deliver us from evil. No amen. No “for thine is…” (although that comes later).
 
All I would add to the above is: Get there a few minutes early with her, and orient her to the missalette, so she will be comfortable with some of the responses. Afterward, be prepared to answer basic questions, and if the priest greets parishioners as they’re leaving, it would be nice if you introduced her.
 
You may want to go to a Saturday mass yourself so that you can sit with your friend during the Eucharist - for me, it’s a bit awkward being the only person sitting in the pews when I visit my Catholic friends parish.

The OP is not Catholic yet either, he/she lists them self as an ‘RCIA candidate,’ so they can remain in the pews together or go up for a blessing (if their parish allows it).
 
my wife is Cof E.when she goes to mass with me and the kids, she does every thing except communion.but she still goes up and gets a blessing.its nice to all be together doing this.

ive never pushed her or tried to persuade her to become a catholic,its totally up to her.

but its good to take a friend to mass,ive done it with some of my kids friends if they are in the house at church time .i always ask the kids to get ready for church and then ask their friend if they want to come.most of the time they do.

it takes away the pressure of my kids a little in this day and age.

its healthy to ask others to come to church.but for the right reasons.
